The new gathering place in historic downtown for locals and visitors alike. We have revived the tradition of the neighborhood spot where people come and let their hair down. Casual fare… good value beer, wine, and cocktails, local art and now, live music! Showcasing the best musicians of the Virginia Piedmont, the Shenandoah Valley, and beyond. Acoustic, Jazz, Traditional, Singer-Songwriter, Rock, and Country. Almost all live music events at The Light Well are free to attend, however tips for the band are greatly appreciated.

Four County Players
Founded in 1973, Four County Players is Central Virginia's longest continuously-operating community theater. For more than 35 years, the players have delighted audiences with a full range of theater experiences. Located in the small village of Barboursville, the theater is the cultural hub for the community, serving as both an artistic and educational center. The Players are well known for their masterful musicals, hilarious comedies and magical productions of Shakespeare. With a long, rich history of nurturing the arts in the area's rural communities, Four County Players proudly presents high-quality theater at an always-affordable prince, including Half-priced Fridays ($8, half-price of a regular adult ticket). At home in the Barboursville Community Center, the charming, converted school house features both a traditional proscenium, Mainstage theater (seating 200) and an intimate Black Box theater called The Cellar for more experimental works (seating 60-70).
